I am so very happy to say that the cover I did for Space Usagi: Death and Honor #1 was awarded a Bronze in Graphic Novels/ Comic Books by Society of Illustrators West 63. You can see more about the show here.
I spent a good bit of last year finishing up projects (art is done on Fight Bunny!! I had a cookie cake to celebrate! =), working on my health (I am happy to say I gave up soda, am trying to get 7 to 8 hours sleep, and currently walk 10K steps. I also brought a Rowing machine into our lives…although right now its keeping the plants company *its really cold outside!!!! We might get snow!*), started the aforementioned garden (still in pots) and watching anime (I am sooo happy about the current winter season! Welcome Back Apothecary Diaries!!!!!!!!!!!!!!).
The publisher announced the book I did a lot of illustrations for and I am happy to share that I did art for The Great Mouse Escape by James Patterson and Chris Grabenstein! You can pre-order the book here (including the audio book and ebook options) That is straight from the publisher with links to alot of the online book buying places.
Thank you so very much for your support! It has meant a lot. I hope you enjoy the books!!!
Best J.
I did a variant cover for Space Usagi White Star Rising, it will be out on Dec 18th!
In other news, I turned in a book, am finishing up a book, and am currently setting up sample print order for prints. Once I am happy with how it looks I will set up the shop. Prints available will be 3 of the Maleficent covers, and the Space Usagi Death and Honor covers (moon bunnies!). Sign up with my newsletter for notification when the preorders drop.
I got to work on Bella Sara for about 2 years or so, I designed a lot the horses I painted (which was such fun =) I found these two pieces (above) in my Bella Sara folder, I do remember painting the horse breeds (I don’t remember why).
I want to say Thank You to the Bella Sara community! A lot of amazing people have written to share how much you cherish and love the work and keep such a wonderful place in your heart for it. It means the world to me.
Thank you
My covers were included in the art gallery of Space Usagi: Death and Honor! I was delighted to see my pencils were included. So if you ever wanted to check out my pencils and my color work right next to each other, this is perfect~! I hope you all enjoy it!!!!!!! Happy Bunny Wave! =)
The time to hunt for bunny things has arrived!!!!!! Behold the fun bun things I found while out! The above three are from Target with the right being in the garden section! I picked up one of these (see the cuteness up close below)
Joann Fabrics had cute cooking gear, the biggest bunny related sign Ive seen so far this year, and a lovely bunny shaped wreath. I love looking for bunny signs and have several in the bathroom. If your looking for some, I would recommend checking the Tractor supply company at this time of year.
Here are the two things I got this year, Woot!!! I love fun pattern work (the towel is from Kroger) and am starting to learn more about gardening. I actually got seeds to germinate this year! BEHOLD their tiny cuteness.
Here are the cute bunny trio, like fairies at home among the wee little plants.
They all sit together on the windowsill above the sink to bring happiness at all hours.
Gathered together 6 of the covers I did for My Little Pony Friendship is Magic comic! MLP Merch has more of my covers.
I really enjoyed the Nightmare Knights covers! Nightmare Moon is my favorite Pony (with Luna/Fluttershy being a very close second and third) I was so thrilled to get to paint her and Daybreaker! Long live FIRE hair!!!!!!!
I was thrilled when I got the chance to do an official card of Twilight Sparkle for Magic the Gathering!
The comp covers for Lilo and Stitch arrived! They were so lovely, I wanted to share.
On a quick search…Midtown comics has the blank/virgin cover and Golden Apple has the text cover. I didn’t see a option at the publisher’s website. This was a relaxing style to work in. I hope everyone enjoys the book! Sign up with my newsletter for notifications on when print pre-orders drop (it will be a few months).
